Default Derek Jeter Ball. Real or Fake?

Hey guys,

A buddy of mine sent this pic to me last night asking if its real. At first I thought no, but then thought it could be an early signature. The authentication worries me though.

Thoughts?

Mike

Terrible forgery in my opinion. Looks like they condensed the signature to try and hide their failed attempt to mimic Jeter's complex signature.

As an FYI - this is Derek Jeter's early signature from around 1992.
