Default Peter Jackson 1901 Australian Ogdens

Hello from Australia. I have come across the attached Ogdens Peter Jackson card and I have been told that is in demand from boxing enthusiasts. I would appreciate any comments as to its rarity and value please.

Yup, it is a rarity. I'd suggest having PSA or SGC slab it if you want to sell it because Ogdens are prone to alterations, so much so that I assume any desirable one I cannot inspect in person has been recolored.

Speaking of rarities, a David Hanvey sighting.

Neat.. If you come up with a price you want to sell it at I'd love to know it. I just posted in another thread how I'd love to get a copy of that card. That said, I'd be pretty poor at guessing a value on it. Feel free to message me if you do want to sell it (there's a for sale section on this site as well).

That is increasingly common in the states these days.

My guesstimate for the card in that condition, assuming no alterations, is around $300-$500 at auction. I paid about $100 for mine, with a chunk off the tip and some other damage, and that was when the boxing market was weaker than it is today.

Thank you all for your replies and the information in them....much appreciated.

I actually have 3 of the Peter Jackson cards available. The scan I put up is the one in the middle condition wise...I have another better and another worse.

I think I will just scan the 3 of them and list them in the "For Sale" section and invite offers.

Thanks again for your interest.

Default For Sale listing

I have just put some information and a scan of these 3 cards in the "Everything Else" section of the buy/sell forum. Pleased to take any questions there.
