Default World Series Video

Posted By: Ken McMillan

We all have seen video from the 50's and 60's including many world series. What is the earliest video of a wold series anyone has seen and where did they see it. I vaguely remember seeing footage of a World Series a few years ago of a series in the late 20's. What has everyone else seen?

Ken Burns' baseball documentary probably included some of the earliest World Series footage.

I remember in Ken Burns "History of Baseball" when it talks about the 1909 World Series, it looks like the players warming up before the game. i'm assuming its from 1909 anyways.

Raresportsfilms is Doak Ewing, a great guy. He has put together some good stuff. And if you see him set up at a show it is worth a few minutes to make acquaintance with him.

Do you think he may have footage of the 1921 world series?
