Default An interesting fact. 1975 Topps Steve Busby

I just received this message from a buyer on E-bay. I figured I would share - a fun tidbit about another misrepresented photo from Topps!

Quote:
Kind of a cool fact about this card, my mom drove a school bus for Stephanie busby and I had her take this to her dad to auto and he sent back another card signed and a short story. He said he had never seen this card but couldn't sign it because it's not him, after researching this is actually Fran Healy, which ironically is the card you listed directly after this one . Just strolling through the store figured if share, tried contacting topps to see about error and never heard anything back, but that came directly from Busby.

This error is noted in the 3rd Edition (2013) of The Standard Catalog of Vintage Baseball Cards. (page 541)

They are usually pretty good at detailing such errors, though, I had not noticed it myself.

It's probably a good idea to have a copy of this catalog handy to keep aware of specific item values.

Talking 1975 leader

Funny that Topps missed his regular card . You would think they could have got it correct he was on the season highlights card#7 in the 1975 set also with Bosman and some guy named Ryan .
