Default Martin Dihigo ball - fake?

My amateur sleuthing leads me to believe that this auto is forged. Thoughts? The ball dates from 1960-68, and Dihigo spent those years in Cuba AFAIK.

I don't think a question has been asked more than how have these guys been able to survive for a few dozen years? Small busts here and there, but the handful of forgers that provide them with everything go unscathed. They fake letters of authenticity and lie about the origins and they laugh at us as it appears that like roaches, they will never die. They have 20 more items that have Barry Halper LOA's this month. Really?

http://www.myccsa.com/Search.aspx?SearchText=halper

102 items with Edward Doherty letters.

http://www.myccsa.com/Search.aspx?SearchText=doherty

122 items with Halper or Doherty letters and don't the signatures all look the same?

And the guy helps us decipher because HIS CALLING CARD IS HE DATES THE ITEM AND USES LIKE THREE DIFFERENT PENS!!!!!!!!!!!!! And more great items including their monthly Dihigo. What this teaches us is that since nobody cares (and that's the true shame of it) you can get away with this fraud and make a fortune without a worry. Sad. C'mon FBI!!!!!!! Just look at the links above!!!!!

Regards,

Larry

Larry, we see Net54 members post pictures of CC autographs every month, asking if they are real. This means that Net54 members, despite all our discussions about CC, are still going out there and considering their autographs.

If WE are doing it, imagine what the less-educated are doing? (they are buying).

I think it's like the proverbial train wreck. We know its going to be disgusting
to look at but some people keep looking
Guess there's always the chance they will foul up and offer something that is
actually real

That bottom scan that I posted came from Coach's Corner with an LOA from Memorabilia Mania. It is signed by Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig and this outfit that has been showing up with Josh Gibson, 1927 Yankees, Joe Jackson signatures...well there is this beauty on ebay. Love the super vague LOA. You have got to be kidding me?
