FS: Crescent Padded, Buckle Back, Full Web Glove

Offered here for sale is a c.1905, crescent padded, full webbed, buckle backed fielder’s glove with manufacturers patch. This adult sized glove is soft and pliable and features a pristine asbestos lining and all, rolled leather piping. The buckle back wrist strap is all original with only the smallest of period leather reinforcements to its reverse side. The minor, vintage leather reinforcement cannot be seen from any angle of display. The mfg. patch ( I think from New York) is located at the base of the thumb and depicts a golden crown on a black background…the only such patch I have ever seen and the lone glove example with a patch in this unique location.

This glove represents a rare opportunity to add a highly desirable model to any advanced collection of vintage gloves and equipment. It will likely be sometime before another equivalent example becomes available so don’t miss out on this chance here!
