Default 52 Topps Cream backs?

I just won 5 cards tonight that were described as cream backs.

Just so I am clear, these are nothing unusual, correct?

I assume I also have some "cream backs" in my collection as a lot of my cards backs vary in color,,,,,,,,,, but none gray, unfortunately.

I had never seen these cards described this way in an ad before so I am curious if I am missing something?

Thanks

Dale

Cards 131-190 are normally found with cream backs. If you find them with gray backs, they are very rare and sell for hundreds depending on condition

Cream or tan those are the normal backs for mid-series '52 Topps. Nice card though.

Thanks, Ted. I wasn't aware that was how they are normally found? Although not rare, I thought there was (somewhat) fewer of these cards made, even in this series, that came with cream backs. (My mistake/misunderstanding)

I have read about/seen some gray backs but I highly doubt the day will come that I'll ever be able to afford any. Just owning one would be nice, but I bet I'm not the only one who wishes that!

Thanks. Like I mentioned above, I wasn't aware of that.
A small part of me was thinking/hoping, as I was bidding, and because these cards were being sold by a CDN, that just maybe they were something special but not many were paying attention?.
I was lucky enough to win all 6 cream back cards he had.

Some nice grey backs coming up on PWCC.
Comparing these with the cards I picked up the other night, I can definitely see the differences.
Personally, I thought the greys would be a lot darker, but there is a definite distinction between the 2 nonetheless.
