Default 1952 Mantle PSA 8 or T206 Wagner??? Your choice...

Your choice....They are both now $400,000. Which one do you choose and why?

Wagner T-206 all day. Obviously, the Wagner T-206 is not rare compared to some of the cards that are posted on this forum, but I would prefer absolute rarity as opposed to condition rarity. The Wagner T-206 is the most iconic card in the hobby.

That's a decision I'd love to have to make. Can't go wrong either way but I'd lean more towards the Wagner as well. If I had the money to spend 400k on one of these cards, I'm sure I could find another 60 or 70 for a centered PSA 6 52 Mantle and would be thrilled to own the 2 most iconic cards in the hobby.

I'll take Wagner which has been steady even when economy is bad. Mantle is a good investment but really only going way up with the stock market up.

Default Wagner

Tough choice but I would choose the Wagner just for the simple fact there aren't a lot available in any condition period. I could probably find a lesser '52 Mantle with comparable centering and eye appeal.

I'll take the Wags. Lots of people have owned the '52 Mantle, how many have owned a T206 Wags? I'd look at it every morning while eating my cereal

But the Mantle is twice as big! Just look at that monster.

Seriously though I guess the Wagner to say I was one that owned one once. Then once it was documented I'd sell it and move on. I couldn't image having anything remotely close to either in my ownership. Crazy to dream though.
