part of the fun (frustration) in collecting autos . i know the topps was an IP last year. the other 2 was earlier in his career, he doesn't give those full sigs anymore. actually even tho sgc authenticated the card i'm unsure of the chrome, will see what psa/dna says.

jason, i'm guessing strasburg and harper don't even sign? would love to get them on their topps all-rookies cards.

Not much at all, especially during the season. I've been told by multiple people that spring training is your best bet for Harper and that Strasburg hates to sign or interact with fans.

I got Lombo to sign at the Season Plan Holder's appreciation day. Harper, Strasburg, Desmond, Ryan Zimmerman, Werth and Suzuki paraded themselves around the field as if it were a privilege to see them in the flesh. My theory is that the Nationals sell their autographed balls (except Harper) in the Team Stores for big bucks (or at least try to), so they might have asked them not to sign autographs. The SPH flyer actually noted 'no autographs'.

The rest of the players took the time to shake your hand, talk with you, smile for a few pictures and some signed a few autos. In addition to Lombo's auto on the card, I got Anthony Rendon, Taylor Jordan, Wilson Ramos and Gio Gonzales signed balls. Those guys were the best with the fans and all really nice guys. Denard Span, Adam LaRoche, Jordan Zimmermann and Davey Johnson also signed autos, but I wasn't able to get theirs.

Harper and Strasburg have signed a ton of cards and balls, all of which can easily be found on eBay and other auction sites. It can't compare to getting them in person, but you can still get them if you're willing to pony up the cash. Harper's autos are still hot while Strasburg's have cooled quite a bit.

jason, what happened to your team? i'm disappointed that wash has not put up more of a fight than this...seems like they've accepted being mediocre this year, what happened to the #natitude?

as for me lots of signed cards but i've only scanned these. being a dodgers fan super excited for the '91 ud pedro.

Good question! It's been a disappointing season for sure. We've endured several key injuries, haven't given our pitchers the necessary run support, our mid-inning relief has been terrible and our bullpen's lack of lefties hasn't helped. Could also be pressure from too much anticipation, especially since it's a pretty young team. I've been pleased with our 3 key pitchers and on some days our bats come alive. But nothing seems to be in sync this year. It started well w/ Harper hitting .435, then he got hurt, started running into walls, and it all fell apart from there. It's unfortunate because there's a ton of talent on the team.

i try to be very careful who i buy from, or asking for opinions from more knowledgeable folks...and even then i'd make sure the seller gives me a guarantee (i'm probably a pain to sell/deal with )

have a little time so another scan of cards i haven't got to...more rookies, rated rookies, and topps all-rookies.

Default Auto Pickups

Got to meet Jordan Zimmermann and Ian Desmond today and got an auto ball from each.

Earlier this summer I also got Anthony Rendon, Steve Lombardozzi, Wilson Ramos, Gio Gonzalez and Tayler Jordan's autos on balls:

Jason - helluva Harper run - I assume are you putting together a master set?

I just picked this up recently - I saw this guy pitch a few times and have never seen so many bad swings. Unfortunately the case is scratched to hell.

Thanks. Not really putting together a master set. He's my favorite current player and I get to watch him play quite often as a season ticket holder, so I pick up any PSA 10s I can find just for fun. I've picked up a few non-graded cards here and there, but not really going for any set. Just having some fun.

Default Trout

Well, I was fortunate enough to meet Trout's uncle last night at Target Field, so got quite a few cards signed, here's two of them and a ball.

Signed about 10 for me, so I believe my total of Trout signed IP cards is around 50 now.

Just picked up the card on the right with the print offset. I collect weird print errors, with this type being my favorite.

Haven't had many modern pickups in a while. Considering this years re-peat fantasy championship, I figured it was time to get back to picking up rookies of my players.. yes, even backups, and rarely used emergency 3B's like Young...

Tribe fever in full swing...Wanted the Kipnis for a while now... Pretty happy to add the signed Swisher rookie too, even though it's mislabeled...
