Does anyone recall having seen a factory cut like this on a C46?

While at first glance the top border may appear trimmed it probably isn't. Looking at all 90 C46's in Old Cardboard issue #12 you can see many that appear the same as the Nattress.

Wow..
I have seen some centering issues with this brand but never a diamond cut like that..

the thing that worries me more than that is the other 3 borders. The other 3 have obvious chipping and rounded corners. The top left border is square and there is no chipping along the top.. very odd
