Default Binder pages for large cards?

some of the '50s cards (like 53 Bowman) are too big for the normal 9-pocket binder pages. But they look too small in the large 4-pocket binder pages. Anyone have any other solutions?

Thanks,
Rob

You should be able to buy 8-pocket pages online or in any sports card hobby store. These are made specifically for the 52-56 Topps and 53-55 Bowman issues.

Thanks Rob for the reply. The 8 pocket pages I see are 2 columns by 4 rows. So that seems good for horizontal cards like 55 & 56 Topps. Ya'll store your '53B horizontally too?

Sadly, yup. All of my 53/54 Topps and Bowmans are laying down on the job. Somebody once told me that there are vertical 8 pockets but I have never found any (and I have looked).

Default 8 Pocket

Same with my 52 to 56 Topps sets. You just need to turn the album sideways and everything comes up just fine

When you do that do you use what would be the seven hole for number one? I did that for my 54 Topps set and it confuses the heck out of my wife when she helps me putting cards away.

I use the #7 as #1, then flip the binder to view. That is why I married my wife. When she was my girlfriend she understood my madness of collecting, and my madness of storage.

No kidding. My wife doesn't understand my collecting at all. Then again, I wouldn't let her put my cards into albums for me even if she did understand. LOL

Default Ultra Pro

I wouldn't go with ultra pro as there is too much wiggle room and so if your binder moves around at all you will have cards in these sheets sticking out. I have been told that bcw 8-pockets might have a better snug fit.

I use the Ultra Pro 8 pockets and I would agree that it would be easy for the card to slide out. I wish they would make them side loading instead of top loading for that reason. I would think the smaller opening would keep that from happening.
