I am going to assume that at this point no one has started a Group for us on ESPN!?

So, I'm gonna head over and get us going on a group!

I'll be back ASAP, with the info...

Okay... Here;s the Link:

http://games.espn.go.com/tournament-...ntryID=1013513

Group: Net54Sports

Password: t206

Right Now I've left it Unlocked so I believe you can just slide your other Bracket if you have one in another area! My 5 year old made my picks and it slid over just fine

Rules:
1. One Bracket per Net54 log on id.

2. Not Sure if we need any more rules? I've played for the last 3 years, wasn't complicated. However, Please fell free to chime in if I'm missing any thing!

I'll do my best to keep up with the Net54 gang...

Hey guys,
I know absolutely nothing about what ya'll are doing and don't follow the hoops too much.....but if there will be a winner of this Net54 sports contest, I will hand out a Net54baseball T-shirt to them....if that is appropriate?

In years past, I believe, there was a "floating" prize of a T206 Chase Holding Trophy.

Does that still exist ?

No matter, either way, I'm in, and will be happy not to come in last

Default Question?

Got a Question for the Old timers of the Madness Game(maybe tBob, or any other Vet of the Net54 Tourney)

At some point... Do I need to "LOCK" the game? I guess my thoughts are, So we can't switch our brackets out/in with what we already have selected? I Hope this makes sense!? I thought I remembered that this was done for a certain reason...Hmmm

Any help in this area will do... Just wanna make sure I'm not missin' anthing!

Glad to see that we're up and running. Hope Everyone can get in and Dance in the Madness...

I remember a guy's wife filling out a bracket based entirely on which mascots she liked the best...and beating him soundly.

Yes, I have to agree: Coin flipping, or having your wife/ girl friend / child pick are all very good strategies

.............. But I like going with something a little more scientific ........... the team with the prettier uniform gets my pick

I assume the winning bidder still gets the T206 Chase holding the trophy card?

Yes, Alan Elefson "Rogered uP" to Sending it on to the winner! He mentioned it in the other thread!

tbob,

Can you give me some insight about when to "Lock" the game? Is that even an issue at all?

Allen,

Can you just give us a "Okee Doe Kee" about Passing it on in this thread!

We'd Appreciate it... TIA

Denny, if the brackets don't lock on their own then you should manually lock them before the start of the thursday games

Thanks Dave!

I'm still wondering why though... My only thought is so we/others can't switch out their Bracket? But Doesn't the game Lock itself after the start of the games?

I'm really just curious...

I am the current trophy holder and will most likely be relinquishing it in a few weeks. I am still shocked I won last year and have no hopes of repeating this year. The trophy (Hal Chase T206 with loving cup) is the only graded card in my collection so I will be glad to hand it off and be back to 100% raw cards.
Good Luck!
Alan

Default Revised rules and prizes

I Dug this up and edited it for this years/updates Tourney.

Thought I'd make it a bit more interesting since the others before me were gracious enough to do so.

My hopes are that we all enjoy this years Net54 Madness as others have had in the past... I Know that You guyz/galz are a Grand Bunch and I'm just Blessed to be part of such an Awesome Group... "Truly!"

http://games.espn.go.com/tournament-...ntryID=1013513

Group: Net54Sports

Password: t206

Right Now I've left it Unlocked so I believe you can just slide your other Bracket if you have one in another area! My 5 year old made my picks and it slid over just fine

Rules:
1. One Bracket per Net54 log on id.

***ESPN.com's groups allow you to create more than one entry, but for this contest, one entry per person, please. (If you don't already have an EPSN.com account, you'll need to create one before you can join the NET54 tournament group. This is a pretty painless procedure and takes little time at all.)

There is no money involved in this pool, though the top three finishers will receive prizes.

First place: The winner gets custody of the Hal Chase "traveling trophy," pictured! Alan will send it on to the New Winner. Winner agrees to take good care of the card for a year, promises to not try to sell it on eBay or the B/S/T and vows to mail it to next year's winner.

First-place winnner also gets the Tshirt from Leon(THANKS LEON FOR THE GRACIOUS DONATION!).

Second place: Choice of The Awesome PreWar Card Tray(Pictured) or "BASEBALL" a Film by Ken Burns (DVD Includes 10th inning)

Third place: Whatever is Left Over

(Only the Chase card needs to be passed on in 2013.)

You can create your entry at any time and make your picks shortly after the pairings/brackets are announced. Changes can be made to your picks until the tournament starts.

If you have any trouble registering/entering or have any questions, feel free to e-mail or PM me.

May the Good luck of the Irish be wit ya All!

Looks like SGC is lowering their standards, they just tape the cases now. Is that card in their registry?

Looks like we're doing fairly well! We presently have 59 people signed uP for the Tourney... Should be Very Interesting to see how this All Plays Out

Well I went to Western Kentucky University... and now lookathere, they won that playin game. I went to the regular season games in 1971, when they eventually went to the Final Four. The Hilltoppers beat Kentucky that year. It isn't very likely to happen this year, but I look forward to the game.

I'm still annoyed with the playin thing. And I think that if the NCAA is going to do it, then it should be for at large teams. Anyone that represents a conference with an automatic bid should automatically be in the real tournament. I admit a bit of bias there, but I'm just sayin'...

"Just as a Reminder"... Only 1 Entry per Net54 ID.

The Group is now "Locked".

For Our Group, This only means that you won't able to swap your entry in or out of other Groups. New Entries... As of Now, Will have to be Manually Submitted within the Group!

Filling up Fast... Should be an Awesome Tourney

Joe, go and click on the tournament link.
http://games.espn.go.com/tournament-...t/en/frontpage

Just make sure you are logged in, then you can go and click your username, or anyone else's, and see that person's bracket. Hope that helps.
