Default National want lists

What is everybody hunting come National time?

I've got a handful of T206 wants (Walter Johnson portrait, more some mid grade Brooklyn players, maybe a Cy Young) that I'd like to track down and hopefully a Nap Rucker T3 Turkey Red.

Anybody looking for anything in particular?

Will- I have always had great experiences with Gary Nucherino at the Nationals. He has pre-war cards at decent prices and is willing to negotiate, especially if you buy multiple cards. There are several dealers who are very cordial and will deal with you, it's usually a "walk around, examine prices, see if the dealer will bend at all" situation which each collector has to find out for himself. I remember when I first started going to Nationals I just paid whatever the pronounced price was if I wanted a card but after hanging around with some of my Net 54 buddies and watching them haggle prices down, I started it a little myself and it paid off. Good luck and have fun! I think the best part of the National is not the cards but the comeraderie with fellow collectors.

Hey Dan- Yes I did and it's still some cards I really like. Actually I got 4 total cards from you that stayed in my collection, including the header card. I had no idea those 4 cards even existed before I saw them at your table. The D311 was just a one-off and was way cool....the others were legitimate cards but super scarce.

I guess I was thinking shut out on ACC cataloged cards.....but I love the ones I got from you. thanks again!! And just as much, or more, I go to the National to party and hang out with friends....

Default Just the usual

although at this time, I doubt I could afford to buy anything, but if anyone runs across any T206s with Howe McCormick's stamp on the back, please get a dealers name or any other info, as I will try and contact them when I can make a deal.

If it weren't for the folks on this board, I wouldn't have even half the cards I have now. Thanks to all for the help over the last three years.

Default As the time draws closer, thought I would bump this up to the top of the list

but didn't realize no one had added anything since I did on the 9th. Just thought the bump might do the thread some good, and maybe bring out some other requests.

Well i am unable to go , but i am looking for some MMA national exclusive cards, so if anyone gets any.... feel free to send me a pm.

THE ONLY WAY TO GET A TOPPS HERITAGE STRASBURG ROOKIE IS AT THE NATIONAL INSERTED INTO THEIR PACKS... Could finance your whole trip if you are lucky enough to pull one. I know not alot of guys collect shinies, but if busting one pack could pay for your trip, might be worth a shot in my opinion.
