Here are some of the pictures:

Centered and minimal print defects, but Dean's called it EX as well.

Dean's called this one EX, PSA gave it a 6:

1952 High number

This might be a crack and resubmit if I don't see a crease (2.5?):

PSA 8 Jim Thorpe with the Splendid Splinter

PSA 5 Sisler:

COMC rated this as Near Mint as well:

And a bonus; this 1993 Donruss Elite got a PSA 9 Mint:

Yeah, PSA says that their submissions in 2018 were 2.5x what they received in 2017. And they changed their bulk price from $7/card to $8 at the end of August. So everyone that had been waiting for a cheaper monthly special all bit the bullet at the same time and submitted at $7. They are finally digging out of that mountain of submissions.
They moved into a new larger building, but they don't have enough trained manpower to grade all the cards at the same rate as their experienced graders, yet.

Mine too. Sent in at the end of August. Got them back Saturday. Almost 6 months. I hope that since they are now through the bubble of submissions from the “get in before the price increase” avalanche that their times will go back to normal.

The problems with turnaround times is why I've never done PSA. If I must get cards graded, I will usually send to SGC and pay for a quicker turnaround. They aren't perfect either, but they are a heck of a lot more reliable.

At the Boston show November 2017 I submitted a batch of cards to psa. 2-3 days later they were marked received and they were back to me by the end of the next week. Since then, if you submit an order it takes weeks to enter into the system before their time starts. The time has gone from 10 to 25 days for a regular submission. So now when you submit cards it is around 2 months to get back to you.
