Default Removing tape from the front of a card ... anyone tried it with any luck?

Just curious if anyone has successfully removed ancient tape from the front of a card. T206 to be specific. If so, how. Thanks.

Never tried it. But if it is a valuable card, I'd consider sending it to Dick Towle and "Gone with the Stain."

Tape is tough for Dick. On the website, he says what kinds he can and can't do.

I used to remove mailing labels from the front of magazines with a hot iron and a cloth between the iron and the magazine. Never tried it on a card with tape, but the idea of heating the adhesive might work.

Step 1. Grab edge of tape

Step 2. Pull hard

Step 3. Repeat until all tape is removed

Voila!

*Disclaimer: If successfully means to not damage the surface of the card (not just remove the tape), the above steps probably won't work.
