Default Condition Question

Would would you grade this card? Would you slab it or leave it raw?

Thanks,
Neil

Default Grade it!

If it were mine I would have it graded.

As far as a grade goes maybe PSA 5/SGC 60?

Agreed - Looks like a strong 5 if there are no creases or wrinkles.
I would grade it; if not just to keep it protected.

Agree with the other two posters - SGC 60 and definitely grade it.

Default Expensive

Expensive enough card probably worth grading/authenticating, looks like a PSA 5 card, top two corners a little two worn + o/c, outside shot of .5 grade higher, JMO

Thanks for the input. I have a number of Mantles and other 50's-60's cards in very good condition, what is the advantage of grading it? Does it preserve them better? Is it easy to crack them out later, I still like take them out and look at them.

The grading holder does preserve the cards quite well. Better protection against fairly bad accidents. For less expensive cards a penny sleeve and semi ridgid is fine.

For the more expensive ones like the Mantle it's an extra bit of security. Plus it gives you serial #. And if you want to sell it eventually buyers will be more confident of it being genuine and unaltered. So it will sell for more.

Unless the commons are extremely nice it's probably not worth it for them since the grading could cost as much as or more than the card.

Robert I would crack and resubmit your psa4 probably will get a 5 if not crack and send again. Neil depending on who your grader is the day it gets graded will get a 4 ,4.5, or 5 no problem, very nice eye appeal.
