Default Dan Even and team issued postcards

I was wondering whatever happened to Dan Even who wrote wonderful columns in the old SCD days back on the 70's & 80's on team issued postcards?

Dan would always write updates on what each team was doing every year and what you needed to do to obtain them. It was always great fun to send $8.00 to the Cardinals and get the complete set or $5.00 to the Twins and see what you received. Even better yet a large SASE to some team and get a surprise package.

Do any teams still issue postcard or photo sets each year. The Expos always had a nice set. Great fun back in those years collecting on a budget and getting actual stuff from the teams. I have two large tubs with skeds and another with postcards. I need to pull them out to see what is there!

Default Dan Even

Dan Even passed away on August 3, 2019. My condolences to his family. He was very generous in offering information on baseball postcards when I would email him. Another good guy from the hobby has passed.
