Default Baseball "Drive-In" Lets see some home town baseball action photos!

Posted By: Shawn

Wish you could still drive up and watch a baseball game like this... A baseball "Drive-In"! It looks like there is a horse and buggy on the right side of the photo? Any guess on the date?

Anyway, post your home town baseball action photos!

How 'bout some prisoners from my hometown? Can't tell what exactly is going on, but it's probable that someone is stealing second base.

Nice pictures guys! Would love to see more... Dan, I noticed some of yours have the black border with the silver like haze like the one I posted... What do you refer to those pictures as or what type? Or are they simply just pictures. Maybe its the process that creates that look?

Shawn they are referred to as Real Photo Postcards (rppc one bay) and the silverish look comes from the process used to make the photo - Gelatin Silver prints.

Dan, I did not realize all of yours are postcards... The one I posted is just a picture, maybe 3" x 3".

Steve, which one is the Sioux City card? Is it the one that has the "Atlantic" banner in it?

No Dan. I posted just the address side of my Sioux City. The front is exactly like yours.

I have a couple of the Atlantic cards, have done a lot of research, but came up empty. I would like to think that the player in the batters box is Wags but would have a tough time proving it.

You think that's from the Atlantic League or could it be a shot of a game in Atlantic, Iowa?

A game at Vanderbilt:

And one that for some reason, is one of my alltime favorites (underbidder on this one). From Sago Bay, Maine:
