Default Sitting aound the hot stove reminiscing......

I haven't really had a chance to share these with anybody yet. Photography is a 2nd hobby of mine.
As I sit around the house tonight thinking about last season and looking forward to opening day I was flipping through some pics I took from game 4 of the World Series this year.
I'm a Tiger fan and a season ticket holder so if anyone ever wants to meet up at a game just let me know!!

Default Tigers

Just a point of interest. Those two big Tigers seen in the above pics were refurbished here in CT. this summer. I saw them on a flat bed truck on I 95 when they were done.

I saw that news story. Unfortunately that was one of the reason they cancelled the annual "Tigers Fan-Fest" in 2012. I was pretty bummed about the cancellation because I had every intention of going and freezing my butt of ..... but the anticipation of the refurbed tigers and the new scoreboard were worth it. I have some GREAT opening day pics of the new scoreboard too.

Ahhh .... opening day
I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Edited to add:
They said that when first installed those tigers weighed about 3,000 pounds each ..... when removed they weighed 10,000 pounds each. They were full of water!!

Default sitting around hot stove

Steve,
Good video Steve, buuuttttttt,,,,,,,
Just brought back the heartbreak again, and a reminder that I do not like Jim Leyland decision on who to dress for the series. Just pitch around our two big guns and the rest of the lineup made any pitching staff look good.
Okay Steve and other Tiger fans, is Tory Hunter going to help?

excellent question. i say its a 50/50 thing. help in the field? no doubt. Tori is and always has been a great glove. help at the plate? not too sure there. in his "golden years" its going to be iffy .... but with miguel and prince ... and victor coming back ..... hunter's bat is more or less a moot point right now.

it's going to be our year

I also like Dirks, but Leyland did not play him till third game, by then, He was cold and the big Mo was on SF side.
I agree, Hunter is iffy for offense.
I am not counting on Victor for first half, but if he does warm up., he could be big help.
