Default Favorite Mel Ott card?

Greetings, I am interested to know what is your favorite Mel Ott card. I personally vote for the 1940 Playball. I love that classic Mel Ott pose while batting. Look forward to some posts.
Thanks

Richard,

That's my favorite image of Ott as well. If you get a chance to see it, look at the last Mile High auction catalog. There's a photo in there of the colorized proof of the 1940 Ott card — it's a real beauty. Curiously, many of the Ott cards (Goudey, Diamond Stars, Double Play and Wheaties off the top of my head) show Mel without his hat. His hair is immaculate in each picture, so he must have been very self-conscious about how he looked on his cards ...

Chris, I checked out that 1940 Playball Ott colorized proof in the Mile High catalogue. Awesome. I wonder if the card is unique? Thanks for the info as I was not aware of the existence of that card.

LOVE the 61 Exhibit!
Now THAT is a cool card...may I ask about how much something like that might run these days?

there I go again...wandering and losing my focus...

Awesome cards guys. Just great to see all of these Ott cards. Anyone have the 1952 Mother's cookies where he is depicted as a manager?

Some nice cards, boys. I'm partial to the '33 Goudey portrait, though my copy is 20 miles up the armpit from Jeff L.'s bodascious seven. Thought I might add this Goudey premium to the collection, Ott third row, second from left. Also, one that got away (latest Mastro auction). Home run trot, dejected catcher. Classic!
