Default Anyone know if this autograph Mays 1953 Topps 244 card is real?

My nephew found this in a storage auction he won for $25 a few days back.
Seems to be a 1953 Topps 244 Willie Mays?
Autographed on back.
If real where would we have this sent to be certified to prove autograph is authenticated and graded?
Thanks.

Actually, most everyone knows it's a Topps Archives card...should be a copyright at the bottom.

Another clue would be the card's size which is standard 2.5 x 3.5 inches, actual 1953 Topps cards are 2 and 5/8 x 3 and 3/4 inches.

Anyone who paid $25 for it got ripped off.

By the way, your title says 'McCovey', not Mays, but either way, it's a reprint.

I would recommend you do ebay searches and most of your questions would be answered.

Yeah, it was made in the 90s. It should also be really glossy. Way glossier than real 1950s Topps cards. And you would think people would know the difference, but less than a month ago a card from this set was put up on the auction board here...

Thanks for the tips. I am really a newb at this sportscard stuff. He did get about $200 dollars worth of comic book graphic novels he can sell on Amazon, and about $100 worth of sportsman jackets to Ebay. It was just a blind buy. They give you 5 minutes to look at unit and you bid.He found only this one Mays card,so we found it unusual as there was no other cards.

Or at least change it to lowercase letters.
