Default Goudey Sport King Babe Ruth

That’s a great card that I believe is seriously undervalued in higher grades.

Just my 2 cents.

I no I don’t own one and am not selling one. I with I had a really nice one.

Love that card. I really want to start that set, but I want to get the Ruth out of the way first.

Rich, I bought and sold that set 3 times now...Could never afford the Ruth in more than a '1'....so I don't think the Ruth is undervalued at all.

Yeah, I'll be lucky to be able to afford better than an "A".

I agree that it's both a great card and undervalued, even in the mid to lower grades. It also has an excellent little bio on Ruth on the verso, maybe one of the best extant.

I wonder if more collectors would find the card more desirable if the Babe was wearing his Yankees cap in the image. This may play a factor, but I think his expression, the lime green background, and the classic Sport Kings design make up for that.

I wonder if multi sport and where it’s catalog has an impact. There is a value correlation among other multi sport issues. Rarity condition and appearance being equal.

Thread needs a picture. I don't collect from that era so had no idea what it even looked like.

I think there is a correlation among multi-sport issues. Generally speaking it doesn't seem like they bring the prices pure baseball issues do. No doubt there are some exceptions but that seems like what it is.

I'm sure others probably already knew, but I just realized It looks like image came from when he met President Harding in 1923. (not my photo)
