Never seen that card before, Adam. Super cool.
'53 Dodgers were the winningest NL team of all time until the 2020 Dodgers. On their way to another World Series showdown with the Yanks, they beat the Giants in September, but lost an all-star in Carl Furillo. He got into a fight with Leo Durocher, the new Giants manager, and broke his hand. Missed the postseason where the Dodgers again lost to the Yankees. The Brawl. Jackie scoring last run of that game. And a stub. A fun article with more details: https://www.baseballhistorycomesaliv...-63-years-ago/ And a '53 Topps. My favorite card.
