Default 1957 Topps checklists

Why are they so tough to come by? Why are they so pricey say as compared to 1956 Checklists? Whats the story with both Bazooka and Blony versions?

I recently won a 2/3 marked checklist with nice corners for $10 and a sharp, but marked 3/4 checklist for $60. I wasn't even close on a 4/5 marked checklist that went for $230.

I feel like these are hardly ever up for auction and if they are, they're almost always marked. These have been some of the hardest post war cards for me to nail down.

So odd that you bring this up. I had an unmarked checklist sitting on my table in a stack of "I don't know what to do with cards" for months. Wife wanted to the table cleaned off for the holidays. Now I don't know where I put it!! I had noticed the prices recently as well. The hunt continues!

Unmarked ones in good shape pull a good price. Especially the 3/4 and 4/5. Good luck with the search!!!

I remember it was the "Twin Blony" on back. I do a local card show each month and I get a box and throw a bunch of cards I have laying around into it. Then I find a kid walking around and give him the box of cards. I'm thinking that is what happened to this card, lol. Oh well!

Located!! It's a 3/4th series Twin Blony. The back, which was face up the whole time, is indeed unmarked. Unfortunately the front has some pencil marks in the check boxes.

Patience is all I can recommend they were the last cards I needed to finish the set 15-20 years ago. The lucky penny and checklist 1/2 are easier than the other checklists but nice unchecked copies are tough to find. I am pretty sure I paid more for the last checklist than I did for Brooksie or Mantle.
