Default Upcoming Napa Valley Trip

My wife and I will be spending about a week in the Napa Valley / Sonoma area in early September. I'm looking for some recommendations of your personal favorites for Wineries as well as Restaurants.

Chris- I spent some time in Yountville and it is an incredibly beautiful area. It's famous for the French Laundry restaurant, perhaps one of the highest rated in the world. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go there, but I heard all about it. I think you can't go wrong anywhere you go, but give Yountville a try. There's a miniature railroad that is a tourist favorite, with cafes around it to sit and have a beer. Enjoy your trip.

Thanks for the well-wishes. Just last night we were looking over French Laundry's wesbite and drooling at the sample menu selections. It appears the average cost to dine there (including wine) is $400-1000 per person. While we technically could afford the hefty price tag, I'd prefer to spread the wealth around and enjoy 3-4 excellent meals instead of just one.

I knew it was high Chris, but didn't realize it was that high. I would guess most of it is for the wine. Probably best to pick a different place.
