Default B/S/T Pickup (Boss says OK)

Posted By: Steve Murray

Picked up this neat season pass off the B/S/T yesterday. Pass issued to William Emmett Dever, Mayor of Chicago, 1923-1927. In 1922 Dever was a prominent Judge in Cook County and his election in 1923 ended years of Republican rule in Chicago politics.

Yep. Modest little collection. Earliest 1904 New York Giants.

Steve - I acquired this from someone who got a bunch of items from Dever's estate. The other pass I am still trying to acquire from that person is also a similar celluloid pass for the White Sox.......from 1919!

Now the 1919 would be a fantastic collectible!! Good luck!

P.S. And who is that you're dealing with?

I know practically nothing about passes, but I am surprised that celluloid was used that early (outside of film-making). It certainly preserved the item depicted above in pristine fashion! That truly is a gorgeous item--I can see why some of you would be attracted to such pieces.
