Today is the 25th anniversary of one of the Greatest WS games ever(unless you are Bill Buckner)!

I saw it in person...and we've been discussing it on the memorabilia side.

I remember that day really well. My parents had their house warming party that day and wasn't planning or even thinking about the world series. Well, it turned into a world series party really quick and being in Connecticut made it that much more crazy.

After the commissioning, went to a bar and the mets AAA team was in Norfolk at the time...............paid off a lot of beers.

I thought Bostonians referred to Bill Buckner as Billy "F-n" Buckner when they talk about that play from the 1986 WS. I wonder if Billy "F-n" Buckner remembers this day every year? Ah, the curse of the Bambino has been lifted so he doesn't have to carry that heavy load anymore...
