Looking to buy but want to make sure it’s legit.

There is a guy on Facebook
Marvin Hoover who has the biggest collection I have seen. Look up Spiderman is the coolest.

Very helpful guy.

It's in a holder - so that is always a good start and a plus and the grade is lower enough not to worry too much - but you always need to be careful - really depends on who is selling the comic and how long the owner has had it - did they get it graded or someone else - and ask questions

Good luck!

Jimmy

That looks like a CGC holder. CGC to the comic world is like PSA to the card world. As long as the holder isn’t tampered with, thats a legit company and an amazing comic.

I love old comics, but I have to read them. If I were so wealthy that I could afford Action #1 or Detective #27, they would get taken out of the plastic things and read cover-to-cover at least once.

Marvin Hoover is a friend. I'm a part of that Spider-Man Is The Coolest group also and can vouch that not only his he one of the more knowledgeable guys you will come across, but also one of the nicest. He can help.

Scott: I agree reading old comics is great. When I was a kid D.C. reissued Action with first Superman and Detective with First Batman. Large format just like original got me hooked. Oldest comic I ever read was Superman 20 back in mid 70's. I don't think I would handle a book that old anymore.
