Default Value on Winchester Baseball bat?

Posted By: Dan Bretta

Anyone know any recent sales for vintage Winchester baseball bats? Saw one at the local antique show today for $350 in very nice shape...bold, deep stamping on a "Professional Oil Finish" model. Probably about 35" long.

That is a very VEEERY good price for a 35". I've seen them in the $500s regularly.

Hmmmm. The shows over now so I'll have to wait to see if they show up to the next one which I think is in March. I'll take a tape measure with me to make sure on length, but just eyeballing it it seemed pretty long especially next to the Clemente bat.

I find it a good idea to always carry a camera to shows (and a tape measure), a picture is worth a thousand words. If it's anything significant at all I try to get shots of it. Most dealers are OK with it. Sometimes though, when it's something really great, I get so excited I forget to take the photos LOL.

I've thought about taking a camera to a show, but I think dealers might find it odd. You know though I like your idea of getting their info and saying that it might help them get a sale if I can show this to my online friends.
