Default Babe Ruth Fro-Joy ad

Posted By: Mike

Hi All!

I am a frequent reader but have never posted since I primarily collect 50's-60's-70's cards. But I enjoy the information provided by all.

Anyway, while in an antique mall recently, I ran across a Fro-Joy ad which has been framed and mounted. The ad shows some of the Ruth cards. The lady at the front desk called and dealer and verified that is is authentic. I have noticed several fake color uncut sheets floating on ebay recently, and the Standard Catalog warns of these.

Does anyone know a value for this item? My Standard Catalog only shows amounts for the cards and the premium photos.

He also has a framed and mounted Ty Cobb premium photo, which I am trying to locate info on also.

Thanks,

Mike

Default Babe Ruth Fro-Joy ad

It's best to stay clear of all Fro Joy Ruth stuff, unless it's being offered by an expert source. 99.9 percent of the Fro Joy Ruth stuff are modern reprints-- this includes the black & white items. The vintage original premium sheets (with ad and cards) are rare, but will occasionally pop up in a MastroNet or similar auction.
