Default Arky Vaughn and Honus Wagner

Posted By: peter chao

Guys,

Two Hall of Fame shortstops back to back. Arguably the two best hitting shortstops of all-time. Also, when Arky became starting shortstop for Pittsburg he was tutored by coach Honus Wagner. Now the question is whether they ever made a card with both Arky and Honus on the card.

Peter

Peter, although i agree about them being 2 of the best hitting shortstops ever, and im a huge Pirates fan so im big on both these guys, they were hardly back-to-back. Wagners last year as a SS was 1916 and Vaughan first as a was regular in 1932. In between they had Glenn Wright who had 3 great seasons and another HOF'er Rabbit Maranville among others

is it just me or, is that picture quality so good, you can look at Arky's face and just see that his facial expression is saying, "Man, are you kidding, this guy is so OLD!"

Arky's looking at Honus's head/cap, not at what Honus is doing!
