Default FSH: Unopened 1979 Topps Baseball Cello Case from BBCE

FSH on net54baseball.com is an unopened 1979 Topps Baseball Cello Case from Baseball Card Exchange, Inc. (BBCE).

I'm asking $25K OBO. The minimum I am considering is $20K based on a $1,200/box * 15 boxes + sealed case from BBCE w/ LOA premium. Please submit offers via PM. Payment by wire transfer only. I've included below, photos of the shipping box that contains the case, still sealed from Steve Hart of BBCE, with a signed LOA from Steve.

Date of shipment (10/2011) is in the bottom right corner of the label in photo 6, matching the date in LOA. Case will be shipped in this same box Steve sent me, as you see it, with appropriate shipping label via USPS Registered Mail, fully insured. LOA will be sent separately at the same time of case shipment.

Arent you the guy that just got booted from the CU boards for saying a respected member's unopened product that he had for sale was searched by him and you had no proof? And this said poster was selling the exact same product you are trying to sell here?

Arent you the same guy who cried to the Mods every time someone said something about you that you didnt like? You are in a different world here now Paul. You might want to quit now.

While interfering in BST threads is generally prohibited, this rule has been in place, publicly, for years on our board.-

".. One exception is to expose fraudulent activity. It may always be posted in any thread, anywhere on the board, but you better have your ducks in a row and your name by your post when you report these misdeeds."

25K is a little steep don't ya think? Steve's (BBCE) buy price on a 79 cello case is 6k, a 19k mark up???? I understand trying to make a buck, but really???

Those are Steve's advertised prices, what he actually pays for stuff is a negotiation process I believe.

Opened '79 Topps Baseball cello boxes recently sold on ebay for $900-$1000. An unopened '79 Topps Baseball cello box from BBCE would probably command a premium pushing it up to $1,200. There's currently an opened '79 Topps Baseball cello box on ebay asking $1,499.99.

So, at $1,200 a box times 15 boxes you get $18,000. Add the premium for being a sealed case from BBCE and you're definitely over $20k.

Default Case

Is the cello case outside the box the same one you just purchased back in August (before the National)or the one supposedly in the sealed box from BBCE purchased in 2011?

If I paid a premium because the product came from BBCE I would want to get it from BBCE, not secondhand.

Sure. I think that makes sense. I contacted Steve and he said it would be no problem. If someone comes up with an offer that I accept, they can submit payment to Steve which he will hold. I'll then send the case for him to verify, once he does he'll transfer the funds to me and send the case to the buyer.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Then why did you bust open the "BBCE sealed" case only to send back to BBCE to be "resealed".

I didn't. That was a photo Steve provided me before he sent the case to me back in 2011.

I don't think he will be answering that question as per his fifth amendment rights.

Ok let's try a different direction.
1) How did you get the letter from Bbce out of the box?
2) why is it dated a month later?
3) why is it stamped "final sale no return"? Could that mean each box is an x-out box?
4) what does the white sticker 372-79 mean?
5) how are you related to Felicia?
6) why the red tape? Is that normal from bbce?
7) there is a hole in the shipping box in photo 2? Could that have damaged the contents?
8) what type soap do you use in your bubble baths?
