Default Don Zimmer/wife opinion

I'm finding some conflicting info on the difference between Don's auto and his wife's. I think his wife's "Zimmer" is a little more spaced out, but not positive. Anyway, any opinions on this one?

That's his wife. Authentic Zimmer's have an open D. I'll see if I can find a legit one online and post it.

BTW, The Z's are different also but I always just look at the D. It's more obvious.

I do have an open D Zimmer on a ball, but I thought that was a later in life sig. I thought that he had a closed D earlier, but that it was a bit different than his wife's. The real sad thing is when I purchased this a couple of years ago, I was going by a member's example (which was PSA certified) and it looked identical. Damn wives. LOL

Does anyone have a good example of a real Don Zimmer on a 55 topps?
By the way, Thanks for your help Chris!

No, but my son has a beautiful 1956 Topps card Signed, ummm ruined by his wife! Sadly I have seen many a nice Zimmer cards ruined. I'm always surprised at the number of auction houses that sell Mr's Zimmer autographs in lots as well.

It's too bad that the Zimmer's didn't keep their mouth shut because I actually like HER signature better LOL. Oh well, what really ticks me off is that I got mine at a reasonable price the year before he died. Now, I see the "real ones" on 55 Topps are running around 134 bucks. Aggghhhh.
Anyway, this must have been a fairly well kept (but probably suspected) secret for some time, because there seems to be many of the wife's sigs that are authenticated by both PSA and JSA.
