Default Anyone have t213 with a different name up top?

Curious if any Coupon collectors have ‘double name’ cards with a different player name at the top. There is a thread with a pretty significant list of confirmed t206 cards of this nature. I have two Matty dark caps with Dunn Baltimore up top...one is a Piedmont 350 and one is a t213-2. If we could find a few Coupon double names that cross reference with the existing t206 list, it might mean the sheet layouts were the same.

Thank you Leon. That’s not on the t206 list but it’s certainly one to look for now. I bought that t213 several months back and started looking for double name t206. The t206 was in the Heritage auction last night.

Sonny, that's a neat find. I guess it's possible. I have some in my collection. I can look for them, and scan. Here are a few I already have scans of. There was a Bender in HA last night that had a name on top that I couldn't see. When magnified, one can figure them out. Leon, bought one recently, Jennings, I have a photo from the auction/bin I was watching. Ames/Bresnahan, Rucker/Donlin, Wilson/Lajoie, Cree/Jennings. I like to find these to help with the year of a card that was probably released in all three years 1914-1916, like Mathewson. I'm going to crosscheck Dunn to see what years he could be found with Baltimore. Is this the same Dunn that owned the team? I'll think on it some more and post more later.

Here is the Bender from HA yesterday. I had a marker bid on it, but did not try to win it because I already have an example, and could not decipher the name at top. We know that this Bender was released in 1916 because of the team caption. It is a difficult card. I think the 1916 cards are hard to find in general.

Any ideas? It looks like the last name is short, 4 or 5 letters maybe. It has a league designation after the team name, I think. Amer or Nat. Could it be Ames, St. Louis Nat? Probably released in 1915 and 1916.

Very cool.

Checking some of my older data,
  • Matty is a super print (group 2)
  • Dunn is in a subgroup of 22 players (group 1).

We should find other super prints with players from group 1 above
And we do, Chase/Zimmerman

There's also a two name Chance (yellow portrait)/Fiene could be the throwing or portrait.

My only one is this McGraw T213-2. I believe card on top to be DUBUC, Detroit

Nice card, RobG.

Okay, I searched and only found 1 more two-name card, Elberfeld/Hoblitzell.

Also, the reason I confuse the 2 Dunn's, is because the T213-2 makers confused them. The only Dunn in T213-2 is this one, so the Mathewson would be the card below two different images for t206 and t213-2.

Nice detective work guys! I guess the switched Dunn eliminates any chance that the sheet layouts were the same. I appreciate everyone’s input.
