the e105's easy...the others...not so much!!! Definitely a worthwhile goal...but...on the other hand...the e99/e100 are pcl's and don't really fit with the rest. I'd skip em!!!

Ha Leon...this is plenty enough of a challenge for someone that has problems not going in different directions every two weeks. But of course when you are the man that could easily take care of the E99, E100 and the E105 the challenge becomes what to offer you...my 401k? my next born (which has a 50/50 chance of being bow-legged like me)?

Now Kyle that's the way to collect! The "A" doesn't bother me at all. Each of those cards, especially the Mono, display extremely nicely. I had my finger on the trigger for this lot be backed down as I though it would go for considerably more.

Damn nice pickup!!!!

I won the Black Sox and Cards lot 238. I was very happy as it has several cards I need for several sets. I will likely be selling off all the odd ball and cards cards.

Well, this is my first time ever participating in an internet auction, and I feel good about what I came away with....although I had to sell off a majority of my T206s, but I'm still happy.

Eric-

Those are some great looking E94's. With the other couple you picked up the other day your already 1/5 done with the set right? Shouldn't take but a couple more weeks at your pace to complete it

(122) 1915-1930s Multi-Sport Strip Card Lot with Boxing
Lot Number 768

Description

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Offered is a (122) card 1915-1930s multi-sport strip card lot with mostly boxing stars. This selection prominently showcases the exploits of various sports celebrities of the age. Cut in a rudimentary manner from strips issued in candy stores, these “W” series cards are all in off-grade. Comprising a variety of designations, there is moderate duplication found within. Eric,

You outbid me on that leach/doolan lot.

I had a deal all set up to trade that doolan for a purple one

Oh well - congrats.

Im still happy with what I got:

JK,

Ah, so you're the one that put in the late bid. I was going to go down swinging on that lot.

Sorry to bust up your trade. Hey who knows....maybe that can still happen. I may be willing to trade it away.

In my effort to corner the market on the non-glamorous cards. I won 2 of the 1936 Wide Pens/National Chicle/etc. lots (254 and 1262). I was real happy with what I paid for both lots.

I also won the lower grade Walter Johnson lot (#225). I paid a little more then I wanted; but so be it.

And finally, despite my best efforts, I struck-out on the T206 lots I was tracking (ended-up as the bridesmaid on 4 different T206 lots (#'s 223, 1996, 1229, 1230).

-Lovely Day, Iggy...

Congrats Josh and Eric. Now I see where those E94s went. I thought I had the Dougherty locked away, Eric, but your final bid got me. With the juice I would have had to pay at least $600 for it, pricey for a PSA 3 common, and I have the feeling you would have gone higher.
Nice cards guys...
Anyone here win the lot of 8 E94s in lower condition? I would be interested in buying the gold Chance in F-G if you wanted to recoup some of your expenditure and I know a collector who would be interested in the G Bates also.

Thanks Bob. Actually that bid on the Dougherty was my ceiling, but that's because I still had high bids on a few other things. Of course I say that now, but I probably would have gone a little higher.
