Default Network 54 Dinner Sponsor - REA Auction -Honest Auto Bid

I want to give a special thanks to REA Auctions, Rob Lifson, and Honest Auto Bid for sponsoring the 3rd Annual Net54 Dinner, at the 27th National. I proposed a special toast on REA's behalf. From speaking with all who attended I believe it was a success. I had a great time, myself, and believe everyone else did too. Much better than last year. I guess I forgot to ask about side dishes but the fajita's were tasty and the beer was cold. Don't think my 2 minute speech went too well but I had already downed a few Corona's ......regards all.....and thanks again, Rob....

I enjoyed meeting many of you this year and it was a real honor to meet one of our pioneers Mr. Heitman. It was also very nice to see an old collecting/dealer buddy of mine from New Jersey (Mike Goldberg); who I had not seen for years.

Regards and thanks to all for a great evening.

Rich

Just want to add my thanks to Leon and Rob for planning and sponsoring the event. The private room made the best setting yet for being able to visit with fellow collectors. Great venue and even greater company. Thanks again to Leon and Rob. --Lyman

Here..Here..

Thanks Rob and Honest Bid...it was a nice treat going to the party and finding out you sponsered the event.

It was even nicer meeting all the gang form the Vin54 board that showed up for the event. Meet a lot of nice people and talked a lot about the hobby.

Can't wait until next year in Cleveland.

Thanks everybody

My thanks also to Leon and Rob/REA. Leon had us each introduce ourselves and mention our main collecting interests. It was my first Net 54 dinner and I didn't get a chance to talk to everyone I would have like to. I was struck by the fact that everyone I met was a great guy/gal and passionate about their particular area of collecting. I've been to 6 Nationals and for me this one was the best because of the people from this forum. So, thanks, everyone, and I hope see you all next year.

That was a GREAT gester by REA to sponsor the dinner. I wish next year the dinner can be on Thursday night as I always have to fly home on Friday. I'm sorry I missed Leon's speech.. Can you please let me know what was said? To bad the nationals does not make everyone where a name tag on them so we know who everyone is.

Best dinner yet. Got to see some old friends and meet a bunch of people I hadn't met (Bruce, Darren, Bobby, Dave M., Michael from SGC, etc., etc.). Big thanks to Leon & REA!

I figure the Dinner was worth at least one more friendly bump to show my/our appreciation. Rob (REA Auctions) runs a class operation and his support for Network54 is greatly appreciated. Now get some great "type" cards in ..... best regards (he didn't ask me to say this and would blush at the thought)

I would like to express my appreciation too. I have dealt with Rob Lifson, by phone, a number of times and is a real class act with vast knowledge, patience, and business ethic.

THANKS!

As I become more sophisticated (older?) as a collector, I appreciate the social events.

Scott takes possession of the "Lucky" Lohrke perpetual trophy card for his excellence against all comers at the pool table. In Cleveland, I hear there is a bowling alley.

If there is a bowling alley, none of you will stand a chance.

Brett Hardeman and I were attempting to arrange an impromptu game after the dinner and found we were short a couple of items, namely cards(available for $5 in the gift shop o.k.) and then chips. We then succumbed to drinking instead and vowed to plan a little better next year. Cleveland sucks for anything but hanging out at the Sheraton so I suggest we have a game after the dinner.

Hi Scott,
Let's skip Cleveland and go to Chicago 2 years in a row. That way we can catch a few Cubs games, play golf and Poker. Be well Brian

I don't watch baseball and I retired from golf(still able to play fairly decent though). SO, I guess it'll have to be poker, thats my new fascination.

Scott - What do you mean nothing to do ??? After the 1997 National in Cleveland, I went downtown to some nice entertainment clubs to view some raw material if you know what I mean (LOL)

Hi Scott,
Retired or not, you can't pass up Medinah Country Club, because it's awesome. I'll be a marshall at the PGA there in a couple of weeks, and playing on Monday, if we don't have a playoff. Besides, Hold em at night should be a given, not an option. Be well Brian

PS We played Hold em, and swish at Willow Grove 15 years ago, so I would think there's always a game going on at every show.

I agree with Alan we should spend some time outside of the hotel and putting some money back into the local economy.
