Hey everyone. There were complaints that the game used discussions didn't fit here. So I'd be willing to start a new website for that. I have space at http://www.network54.com/Index/33448
The goal will not be not to rant or bad mouth people, but rather to discuss what's for sale and auction in game used memorabilia and the issues of the day. Let's give it a shot. Let me know what you guys think.

I was thinking about a similar forum, but it would need to include "anonymous" equipment (stuff from town teams of the t206-era, etc.). If that works, I'll tell the "old equipment" guys, and we'll be knocking at your door.

...but we never fight about our stuff, since we make up the provenance ourselves

The new forum should be anything game used that you would like to discuss. I'm just looking to get the thing off the ground, and let's see where it goes.

Eric- I am a collector of vintage sports equipement and memorabilia from all sports, with a focus on baseball. I am not, I guess, what you would consider to be a game used collector. (although everything I have was used by someone, somewhere, at some time). I have tended to steer clear of game used for some of the reasons that have been bantered about on this VBC Forum (and also the stuff gets real expensive ). I know there are many members of VBC that collect to some extent vintage equipment but not neccesarily game used. If you think we would be welcomed on your Forum then I am sure many would like to contribute or listen in.

I am with Joe and Scott 100%. Game used is great, but the pieces are few and far between unless you are lucky or loaded. I would like to chat about both game used and amateur used gear and other oddball "stuff" like pennants, pins, and any non-card memorabilia. I love the cards, but I live for the memorabilia. LET'S DO IT!!!
