99.99999% of Ryan RC's are O/C, so as poorly centered as this one is, the 15% off brought the price down to a good place and helped ease my concerns with it...

I picked up another 64 Stand-up upgrade for my set. I bought this one the day eBay had 15% off and 8% bucks the same day.

Nice Mays there Neal. So tough to find that card centered. Great grab!

I agree, Peter. Beautiful looking cards! What's the story with the 5.5 Sphan? Looks much nicer, imo.

Some great p/u's guys. Wish I could share cards like these.

This wildly miscut Mick is pretty darn cool, because it has Eddie Mathews attached to it...

Glad to have had the 15% off ebay coupon and the 8% ebay bucks a week or two back to use with some of my early holiday ebay gift cards to pick up this card...one of the sharpest 5s I have in my set. One of the few 52 Topps cards that looks better in hand than in the scan....the white borders are blinding.

Down to 22 to go on this 52 set..

Very nice card, SFMS.

I am down to needing 9 for my low number series and am still stuck at 34 for my high numbers set.

CDN dollar is in the tank again and my wife lost her job at GM so it is looking bleak, at this point, that I will ever finish this set?

Thank you Irv, kudos to you for continuing to inch closer to the goal of completion of this set. You have had some nice, appealing pickups lately.

No job "changes" in my home yet (wife's job depends on continued funding which is questionable in 2020), recent unforeseen/unbudgeted expenses have greatly slowed my efforts on this set as well. Either way, it is about the journey and I will enjoy what I have accomplished so far.

Hoping for your wife to quickly get something new lined up. Several years back my wife's father was "retired" early from GM so I remember the frustration at the time....all has worked out since though.

For Christmas, my wife came up big for me. First, she bought me the last two cards I needed for my 1954 Topps set. Second, she gave me this second year Aaron.

Robert,

Congrats on killing the 54 set! My last two cards will be the Aaron and Banks rookies. I have two other commons to get still, then it'll be those two.

Thank you, Andy. It sounds like you are getting close, too. This will likely be my last set. From here on out, I think I am just going to cherry pick the stars I like from the sets I like. I love the idea of set collecting, but I could be buying a few HOFers and star cards with the money I am spending on commons.

I won this '52 Mays at Burls Vintage Set Breaks back in August. Has a bit of a tilt, but not bad for a $78 investment!!!

My Ted Williams just returned from PSA. I was hoping for a higher grade since I'm most likely going to sell it to defray the costs of the 1948 Sport Thrills Jackie Robinson I just bought.

Am generally a raw guy but I worried this card would be a much tougher sell raw due to all the fakes out there.

Default 1971 Topps Set

Just got this in the mail today for my 1971 set. I immediately conducted an emergency “Beckettectomy” to remove the slab. I am pleased to announce that Mr. Banks is now resting comfortably in the confines of my 1971 binder.
