Default Help w/ SF Seals Team Photo

I was hoping that someone can help me date this SF Seals Team Photo. It looks to me to be the 20's or 30's? Any famous players in the photo? Any help would be appreciated. It measures 3x9 and I imagine that eventually I will put it on eBay.

Thanks in advance.

Jeff

According to my photo references, the Seals started using that style of Jersey lettering in 1923 (the previous year they wore an interlocking "SF"). I also have a photo of Smeed Jolley in the same jersey and he played on San Francisco from 1924-29. There is an Earl Averill Zee Nut card from 1927 that shows him wearing a similar jersey but the letters are san-serif. So it can possibly be narrowed down to 1923-1926.

I looked up Smead Jolley and he only played with Waner in late '25. Does anybody see him here? Waner came up in '23 and played for the Seals for three seasons. Unfortunately, there were no other future big league stars that he played with except for Gus Suhr and Lloyd Waner very briefly in '25. Jim Scott, the White Sox pitcher of T206 fame, was there in '23 and '24. Does anybody see him?

Far Left front is a Waner; I think it is Lloyd Waner. Here is Paul's 1924 card:

here is a Lloyd from an REA auction:

Lloyd was leaner than Paul and the picture looks longer necked than Paul.

Here is a 1927 Averill with the uniform front mostly showing:

Manager (back row, far right) is definitely Nick Williams who came aboard in 1926. Lloyd Waner had six games with Seals in '26. Paul was in the Bigs by then. Smead Jolley is back row fourth from left. Averill had a cleft chin like a couple of guys in the right front row. Roy Johnson, Dolph Camilli and Roy Johnson also on the squad that year but my eyeballs are going funny trying to focus on the faces. The kid, by the way, is team mascot Aloysius "Newsy" Stephenson, grandfather of Net54's own Bruno Auptmann.
Here is a big scan of my 1928 team picture which has Williams, Jolley at his right, Averill two over, Johnson front row left and Suhr two over. I haven't IDed all my guys yet. Put that project aside and haven't got back to it.

Gotta agree with the guys looks like 1926 or 1927; almost for certain bottom row, second from left is Roy Johnson, and looks like Lester "Stump" Ferguson is the guy on the far right bottom row (both played semi-pro ball in Ellensburg, WA). "Stump" was a late season call up 1926 & 1927, a notorious hothead, once strangled an umpire in a game versus Yakima. But boy could he pitch.

Default Value?

Thanks for all the help.

I typically like to begin my auctions on ebay at $9.95 and let the market determine value. However, checking completed results in many sports memorabilia categories indicates (IMO) that prices are way down.

Anybody have an opinion of the potential value of this photo based on previous experience?

Thanks again,

Jeff
