Default Has anyone heard of a warehouse find of 500HR lithos?

Any info on this. An ebay seller who has sold them is claiming that there was a recent "find" of these. I kinda find that difficult to contemplate .
Yes, these are the Atlantic City lithos.

Are you referring to the 500HR lithos that were produced for the Atlantic City National? No doubt thousands of those unsigned posters ended up in some warehouse. If the seller is claiming there was a find of signed pieces, I'd bet that warehouse was once owned by a guy named Marino (or something like that.)

That's news to me as well. More than likely they are the posters and not the lithos...either way, can't get them fully signed now anyway

Those were made for the 500 HR show at Trop world, which I attended. not the national, unless my memory is foggy.

Id figure they r likely to have been run off, but the signed ones are turning up in fakes all over the bay.

There are a ton of them on ebay... signature are usually vertical.

I think they were found in the Coach's Corner warehouse next to the Mother Teresa Auto's and between Noah's Ark and the stack of Mickey Mantle auto balls!

Just to clarify my original post, the ebay seller of one of these lithos (litho, not poster) claims that there was a warehouse find of 800 of them and that they were signed at the AC show, that they had been put away for 22 years. That collectors can now get a good price on them. Yeah, right, a good price for garbage does not change the fact that it still is garbage. He actually has a You Tube video trumpeting the warehouse find and proclaiming their authenticity.
I wonder who put away all the bogus Mantle, Williams, DiMaggio and Koufax pics and ball. I just saw a signed Koufax 8x10 sell for $12.01. At least most of the buyers are not stupid. But it is like a tsunami out there now.

I guess the question is how many lithos were actually created. I know on the lightning bolt lithos they are marked xxx/1000, so if there were 1000 of the other type made (not sure but it makes sense especially when they ran off a bunch of posters) then I doubt they would have saved off 800 of them.

Mike - are you implying that an ebay seller was less than truthful? .
