Default Congrats Japan

If anyone saw the wwc final, they really played a great game to beat us. They never gave up and it paid off in the end. A "miracle on ice" moment for them, as they had never defeated us before.

Good for them...but decided on penalty kicks? That's like deciding the World Series on a homerun derby. Only the World Cup is every 4 years.

pk's in soccer arent much different than shootouts in hockey or the way college football ends. Gotta end sometime and after 120 mins of running it gets a little sloppy to keep having overtimes. I personally prefer sudden death to the pk's though.

Shootouts in hockey? Just as bad as soccer penalty kicks. But at least they don't use it in the playoffs.

It's the world cup. It happens every four years. If you have to, finish the game another day- I don't care. Or just keep on going.
