Default Johnson

My one and only Walter Johnson. On a side note, wasn`t that a stunning item, Johnson`s 3 page signed hand written letter offered in last weeks Huggins and Scott auction.

The Leaf premiums come up from time to time but I haven't seen too many for sale. I think they look cool!

I was actually the winner of the Johnson, although I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it at the moment. I got caught up in the moment and placed a bid on it (thought the price was really solid) but it really doesn't fit in my collection, so will have to see... I start to get in trouble when I don't stay focused.

Awesome purchase Jeff, during the auction was wondering how that letter would look framed up with just the right picture of Johnson. Bearsfan(?) always offers beautiful items with your letter being the latest. Again, great purchase and best of luck with it sir, enjoy. Sorry to sidetrack the initial thread.

I love this photo of Walter holding the Oh Henry candy bar. Kind of a studio advance promotional product shot. I have no idea if he ever did any ads for Oh Henry.

No No Derek and Jeff, I'm holding ticket number one for this card. Being the underbidder on it will put me in the drivers seat. You guys can ride in the backseat and look at it while I drive it to the bank.

I have actually been in Weiser many times, when I lived in Idaho, so I get to be first in line.

Default Handwritten letter to Ford Frick about lifetime passes

Here's my contribution to the Walter Johnson thread. It's a handwritten letter to Ford Frick thanking him for the lifetime pass. Similar letters from Honus Wagner and Fred Clarke as well as solid gold, silver, and more modern examples of the lifetime passes can be found using this link to the CooperstownExpert.com website.

Hope you enjoy my site. It was a dream to make a site for my collection and after ten years it's finally up and running. Every Hall of Famer has a page as do another 200 guys.

Here is a really cool item you don't see everyday. It's a S110 Satin Pillow Top. There are two versions. One has O'Toole on it and the other has Walter Johnson on it instead of O'Toole. Both are extremely scarce but the Wajo one is almost impossible to find. These just don't come to market to often like their counter parts of the S81 silks.
