Default Misrepresented 63 Bazooka

I bidded on it, but it did raise some specualtions..i thought the color was a bit faded and the story was weird. I sent messages to him too.
In the end, i got outbidded, maybe it was for the best.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MINI-MICKEY-...p2047675.l2557

Sold for $45.00
Great bargin, if it is legit.

Here were my responses/questions i asked:

MY QUESTION:
Is this original from the 60's era??? and not a reprint/fake
The color shows some fading as the colors are not vibrant as compared to others i seen. Can you show a zoom in pic of it and a pic of the back, so I and others can see the card stock its printed on???

HIS RESPONSE:
Dear sir or ms.
The back is blank. I took pic with my phone no other way to get any bigger. I never said it was from the sixty's because I don't know. I'm an honest person. Right now i'm out of town and have no way to take more pics. It did'nt say reprint on it . I did not plan on card going for more then $5.00 or $6.00 because it was a Mantle and because I did not know history of card finding it in a dumpster.
Thanks Mike

MY QUESTION:
Sir, i am going to tell you this is a 1963 Bazooka. It will only grade "Authentic" by a grading company, since it is a hand-cut card.
You very well could see over 100, if the right people here really want it. But i think the coloring is concerning about it being legit to me.
This card is being faked alot and well it scares some folks. If they grade it and it comes back as real, they could double or triple the value to a collector.

HIS RESPONSE:
Dear sir,
Thank you for the info as I mostly sell hockey cards. Some of the other cards in dumpster were 70 and 80 baseball , football and basketball. It seemed as if some guy had a falling out with his wife or girl friend.
Thanks Mike

It appears to me from the crappy photo he put up that the dotted lines form "hard corners," meaning an unquestioned fake.

I'm glad you didn't ended up winning this and getting burned. The seller's bs about finding this is a trash can raised so many red flags for me.

MY RESPONSE:
I am glad, i didnt win this...i asked around some experts and the card you sold is a counterfeit.
This is what they i learned:
The 63 Bazooka set was only counterfeited as singles. The counterfeiter put them into slabs identified by FGA, MGS & Capital. They are simple to identify.

The borders on all of the counterfeit examples come to a perfect "L" shape at each corner and all border dashes are of equal length. The Spahn pictured in the post direct above this one is an example of one of those counterfeits. The authentic cards were all issued only in panel form, with dashes of varying lengths along each edge, and only the left-most card on a panel has "L" shaped corners on the upper & lower left corners, and vice versa for the right-most card on the panel.
Hope this explains it better.

HIS REPLY:
Like I said before it was found in a dumpster. I had no reason to believe otherwise that it was authentic. Thanks for info as I probably will never come across one again.
Happy Easter,
Thanks Mike

Wow, what an idea. Just wait. No doubt it's coming soon to a cable channel in your area.
