What do yall think? Did anyone else wear 16?

Plunkett. He was traded from the 49ers in '77.

He didn't play at all in 78 and was on the Raiders in 79. Why would he be featured on the box in a 2 year old photo in another team's uniform? Just a random action shot maybe?

Good question. No idea. Perhaps they meant to frame Doug English #78 for the Lions and an All-Pro in '78 in the photo, but the crop job was terrible

Yep, definitely Plunkett. Another sure giveaway is the two-bar mask, which is what Jim Plunkett wore for the Patriots, 49ers, and Raiders. Joe Montana always wore an OPO mask, not a two-bar.

Plunkett was a guy who would go 7-17 with 145 yards, but would have 3TDs and a big win.
