Default What are your favorite cards ?

Posted By: Zach

Hey just thought it would be nice to see scans of everyones favorite cards in their collection. My three favorites are my t206 Mathewson(first "big" card I got, my t206 Cobb which I recently aquired from ebay, and my e101 Cy Young which I also recently aquired.

That seems to be a very undergraded Mathewson; why only an 80?

If I had to choose one, then it would be the 1934 Diamond Star.

The card is "only" an 80, I belive, because of the less than perfect centering and also the corners are a little fuzzy. There is also a light hint of a tobacco spot on the reverse. But otherwise, this card is magnificent -- the jewel of my collection.

Zach,

That cobb looks much better in your scan than it did in the auction picture. I think you got a steal. Here are a few of my favorites:

But they will all soon take a back seat to the following card that I will be purchasing from another board member:

But if I did, my T205 and T206 Mathewsons and my 45-46 Felices Martin Dihigo would be my favorites. The 19th century cards I see posted on this site are just amazing. I'm stricken with awe and, well, some envy, too.

Scott, you may want to reduce the image size down a bit. I think it's choking on the file size.

Guess the images were too big. Anyway, they were the Lobert and Donovan Croft's Cocoas I recently purchased - SGC mis-labeled them.

I like to sit outside drink beer and yell at people. If I did this at home I would be arrested, so I go to baseball games and fit right in.

If someone could email me a set of easy to follow instructions on how to post images to this site I'd appreciate it. I've read the previous posts on the subject but I just can't seem to get it. Thanks in advance.

The yellow background seems to make the portraits more vibrant. Easily my favorites.

That's about all I have that is proper for this message board, unless anyone is interested in seeing the scans of my autographed 1953 Topps set in progress up to 166/274. Of course, it's about 30 scans, but they'll fit the screen nicely.
