1. Death

2. Taxes

3. Mike Wheat's inventory on free (or cheap) eBay selling days.

I got the email from eBay announcing .10 listing fee special and immediately thought of Mike Wheat.

Sure enough, 20 minutes later.....

Sad thing is the guy make a killing if he cut his catalog prices by 15-20% for these eBay specials. I know some of his stuff sells but not a high percentage compared to the amount he lists.

Coincidentally, I also noticed so many cards from Mike Wheat. And very few that I looked at had any scans. I emailed to ask for one and am waiting. But would you list or buy a card without a scan?

I screwed up and bought one of his cards (1933 Tatoo Orbit Ernie Lombardi rookie card)...

so blame it on me.

I jumped on some of his P-2 Sweet Cap pins in EXMT and NRMT. I agree totally, though, that if Mike would reduce his prices he'd really move his inventory. His M116s, for example, are waaay overpriced and have sat on his website since forever. On the other hand, I remember a few years ago buying some really tough low and mid grade T207s and E90-3s which were realistically priced and went in a hurry.
