Default For the low end collectors

I know not all Grades are not created equal. I like to compare price of low grade prices. So let’s use PSA 1’sfor this. What are the highest priced PSA 1s post war cards? Here is my guess. Let’s keep it Main stream sets. You can make your list as long as you like. Just regular psa 1s no quilfiers.
1952 Topps Mantle
1952 Topps Mathews
1951 Bowman Mantle
1951 Bowman Mays
1952 Topps Mays
1954 Topps Hank aaron.
1953 Topps Mantle
1955 Topps Roberto Clemente
1955 sandy Koufax
1954 Topps Ernie banks
I like to do this to see what the true lowest price of a card is. It also helps measure the cards price as the grade increases.

By saying "regular" PSA 1's, are you excluding non-mainstream issues? Topps test cards and regional issues would fill your list if you include those.

Nice list bob ! I had no idea that 1948 leaf feller was worth that much. I don’t mind is anyone wants to do a list like yours with non mainstream sets. But I want to see the mainstream cards as this is want appeals to all collectors.

I paid $1,500 for mine (before juice). Thought it was a hell of a deal:

Packs that’s awesome! I had a chance at a Mantle two years ago also 1500 with tape residue on top and bottom. Before I could think about it I called the seller and it was gone. Great price and pick up packs

This is almost exactly how I've approached these types of cards the last several years: try to assemble an 'elite' group of cards on a fairly small budget. Excluding the 52T Mantle and 48L Paige. I go a bit more upscale though, into the 2-3 range when the price is reasonable.

Hard to find a 1967 Topps Seaver rookie for less than $200 in Fair or worse.

If anyone has any solid advice on how to pickup a lower grade, but still presentable '67 Seaver RC I would be all ears. That has been a card on my list that I have pined after for a very long time. But even down in the PSA 3 range they are expensive as hell. I think it has something to do with the fact that I don't usually look for cards outside of the 1950's below about a 5 or so. That kind of wear on really old cards is more acceptable and if it were a 1957 card instead of a '67 card that Tom Terriffic debuted on, I probably would have had it by now...but alas.

Thanks.
