Default Happy Birthday Buck Herzog....show us some of his cards, etc.

Tomorrow is Buck Herzog's birthday. Born July 9, 1885 in Baltimore, Maryland......Charles Lincoln Herzog had an interesting BB career (1908-1920) as a
player and a Manager.

From 1908-1917 there was a love - hate relationship between Buck Herzog & John McGraw (reminiscent of the Billy Martin & George Steinbrenner years
of the late 1970's). During 7 years with the NY Giants, McGraw hired and fired Herzog 3 times over.

Reflecting back on his playing days with McGraw, Herzog commented.. "The old man and I had our arguments, I guess because we both liked to win so
well. But, when he got into a pinch and needed someone to put fire into his team, I am glad to remember he always was calling back Buck Herzog."

I'll start this show with some of my cards of Buck..........
