Default Help identifying a photo...Yankees?

From Bobby Plapinger, who asked me to post this on his behalf...

"The photo is 8x10, no writing, notes, stamps, dates - anything else. I have been told that the smiling man holding the mike stand could be Ford Frick - not sure about that.
Some have speculated the player is a Yankee or a Yankee minor leaguer. No idea about the floor lamp in the background or - well... anything/anyone else.

If you have any information, educated speculation, un-educated but persuasive guesses - etc. send them along."

Is that a young Joe DiMaggio in the back far right?
