Default Carolina Brights value ??

I hope this doesn't spin off as negative and this is not the intention. I merely am looking to figure out or ask why this went for $420 ????

When referencing t206.org
http://www.t206.org/value.php?card=263&back=7&grade=3

It's value in good condition is $130. I'm assuming that maybe they don't account for supply and demand. Is it that kind of thing ?

http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=205067

Again I apologize if I'm offending the seller or buyer or bidders. I just don't quite understand.

As stated in the site, "Please use the values herein loosely... they are
not always accurate to current market values." Carolina Brights are quite popular and are one of the best looking backs (at least in my opinion). Try looking through the history of some auction houses such as Sterling and you'll see, even in poor condition, they usually go for around $200 or so. Makes the $420 for a good example not seem so out of place.

+1. T206.org's back multiplier hasn't really kept up with the spike in demand for rarer backs over the past few years. $130.00 for a GD Carolina Brights hasn't been realistic for some time. $420 seems about right from the looks of the card based on how it should grade...

Desiderata

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Strive to be happy.

I think SMR is slightly more up to date. They rate a CB commons at $450 for a PSA1, $700 for a PSA2. Based on those numbers the card was a good buy.

Yeah one of the board members just emailed me some other links for pricing and now it seems a little more fitting.

I'm guessing that I shouldn't be using t206.org now which kind of sucks cause I really liked their site.

http://t206resource.com/Article-T206...ltipliers.html

The chart at the bottom of this page is a few years old, but still pretty accurate.

$420 is about right for that card, figuring it is about $25-30 with a common back in that condition...multiply by 15.
